I am 15 years old and I live in Manhattan, New York. Some of my favorite things to do are dance, write, go to Broadway shows, try out new restaurants in the city, go to concerts, and travel. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and Canine Companions service dog, Midas. I am passionate about raising awareness and fostering change for people with disabilities, and am eager to share my story, educate myself and others, and create a world that prioritizes accessibility and inclusivity. I serve as a Youth Ambassador for A Foundation Building Strength, the organization raising money for treatment and research of Nemaline Myopathy. Nemaline Myopathy, the condition with which I am affected, is a rare congenital muscle disease that causes my muscles to be weaker than others. I depend on a ventilator to breathe and a wheelchair to get around. However, I have always been very adventurous and never let my disability stop me. My zip lining and adaptive skiing adventures are just a few examples! I am in the 10th grade and my favorite subjects are math and science. In the future, I hope to work in technology and continue advocating for people with disabilities.
